Terence Crawford (logo re-design concept)

INTRODUCTION

My main goal as a logo designer is further specializing my services to boxing and combat sports athletes.

What can I say I love the fight game!

While I have done a logo for undefeated Lamont Powell out of Providence, RI. (check out the portfolio page here) - I want to dive into a recent passion project I did for fun. Check out my redesign for Terence Crawford’s boxing logo.

I wanted to honor the original and create something in my own style.

MAIN LOGO FINAL CONCEPT

Concept logo for a Terence Crawford logo re-design for a boxing brand with main logo, alternate badge.

Most importantly, I also wanted my logo concept to be something that is simple and can work at any size, like on boxing trunks, or boxing gloves. With all my logo design projects, even ones for fun, I aim to keep things original by starting all projects with hand-drawn sketches - and keeping business goals such as; recognizability at scale, memorability and target market connection at the forefront of all design decisions.

The inspiration for the elements in the final logo concept

With my logo re-design the main objective I had was creating a new brandmark that would still align and be recognizable to his fans and supporters. I was able to find a picture of Terence Crawford’s signature, the flag of Omaha, Nebraska (his hometown) and the “City of Omaha” official seal.

BOXING GLOVES WITH LOGO CONCEPT

As can be seen on the boxing glove mockup, the “TC” is easily able to be used as a individual badge to flesh out the brand, and the logo works as 1 color on any background color. Easily used on any promotional imagery or product and merch.
